Proper Dance Attire

Proper dance attire is a necessary part of your dance education. It effects the ability of the teacher to see proper body placement so corrections can be made. It also effects the way the dancer moves. When you are dressed like a dancer you move like a dancer. It's just like wearing a costume on stage. Every detail is important to peak performance.

Creative Movement and Pre-School Dance

Girls - Pink Leotards, Tights, and leather ballet shoes

Boys - White T-shirts, black jazz pants or shorts,

black jazz or ballet shoes, white socks

Ballet Classes

Girls - Black Leotards, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes

Boys - White T-shirts, black jazz pants or shorts,

black jazz or ballet shoes, white socks

Jazz Classes

Girls - Any color Leotard, Black Jazz Pants (Dance Shorts with tights),

Black jazz shoes

Boys - may wear close fitting T-shirts or Tanks

Hip Hop Classes

Attire same as for jazz with Dance sneakers or Jazz Shoes

Close fitting T-Shirts may be worn and removed at the Teacher's discretion

Tap Classes

Attire same as for jazz with black jazz tap shoes (oxford type) for older students

Age 3-7 may wear the Patten Leather tie taps

Please wear a cover up to and from class and carry dance shoes do not wear them on the street

For all classes hair is to be worn secured away from the face and a bun for ballet classes

No dangling jewelry or watches
